New Independent Poll: Kennedy Widening Lead in U.S. Senate Race

October 27, 2016 - Baton Rouge, LA - The latest independent poll released today shows John Kennedy continuing to lead in the Louisiana U.S. Senate race. The poll shows Kennedy leading with 22% followed by Foster Campbell with 15%. This is the third independent poll in less than a week that shows John Kennedy with a commanding lead. The University of New Orleans’ Survey Research Center conducted the poll. You can read the full poll results here.


John Kennedy: 22.0%

Foster Campbell: 15%

Charles Boustany: 15%

John Fleming: 11%

Caroline Fayard: 10%

Rob Maness: 4%

David Duke: 2%

Abhay Patel: 1%

Another Candidate: 7%

Undecided: 12%


**Interviews were conducted from October 15 through October 21, 2016. The combined landline and cell phone sample matches the regional, gender, age, and race parameters of the population of likely voters in Louisiana. The overall survey has a margin of error +/- 4.0 percent at a 95 percent level of confidence.
