Health care costs are skyrocketing. We spend $2 trillion per year on health care, or roughly $7,000 per person. Yet, 47 million Americans, including 800,000 Louisianans, remain uninsured.

As both the cost and the number of uninsured continue rising, some are advocating for a government-run health care system. John Kennedy believes a big government takeover will simply result in higher taxes, less access and more bureaucracy. He does not believe in politically-controlled medicine.
