BATON ROUGE, La. – The U.S. Chamber of Commerce today endorsed John Kennedy for U.S. Senate.
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is the world’s largest pro-business organization that represents more than 3 million businesses of all sizes across the nation.
“The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is proud to endorse John Kennedy for U.S. Senate,” said Rob Engstrom, senior vice president and national political director of the U.S. Chamber. “Kennedy has a clear record of fighting for fiscal responsibility and lower taxes. In Washington, he will continue to be an advocate for Louisiana by championing job creation and economic growth and getting government and regulations out of the way so free enterprise can lead.”
“Louisiana needs a U.S. Senator who will fight for our businesses and the workers they hire. John Kennedy has proven throughout his career that he knows what it takes to encourage economic growth. He’s the fiscal conservative our nation needs, and I’m proud to endorse him,” said Maura Donahue, president of DonahueFavret Contractors Holding Company of Mandeville and U.S. Chamber Board member.
Kennedy said, “I’m honored to have the support of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and its members. Whether it is a big company or a family-owned store, higher taxes and burdensome regulations keep them from growing. Louisiana needs a U.S. Senator who will give our businesses the opportunities they need to thrive, hire more people and grow our economy, and that’s exactly the kind of Senator I will be.”
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce joins the National Federation of Independent Business in endorsing Kennedy. He has also been endorsed by the National Rifle Association, the National Right to Life and the American Conservative Union.
